Performance Point 2007 Boot Camp

This is a Hitachi Consulting course and is not eligible for Microsoft SATV funds.


This five day course is a fast-paced, instructor-led tour of Microsoft PerformancePoint Server 2007. The purpose of the course is to provide students with general and detailed information on the deployment, architecture and utilization of PerformancePoint Server to monitor and analyze key business metric s as well as plan and model business metrics.

During the five days of class through lecture and hands-on exercises students will be familiarized with a comprehensive view of PerformancePoint system architecture and learn how to build business models and how to add and maintain dimensions to PerformancePoint Server. Students will also be able to create and maintain rule based calculations and data handling within PerformancePoint Planning and monitor and analyze key business metrics with PerformancePoint dashboards and scorecards.

Prerequisites

Students should meet the following prerequisites:

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Have a basic understanding of multi-dimensional data structures and OLAP principals

The course materials, lectures, and lab exercises are in English. To benefit fully from our instruction, students need an understanding of the English language and completion of the prerequisites.
